Gro Swantje Kohlhof

Gro Swantje Kohlhof was born in 1994 in Hamburg. She studied drama at Berlin University of the Arts. In 2016, she received the Günter-Strack-Fernsehpreis in the category Best Young Actor for the title role in Rebecca, an episode of the popular German-language crime series Tatort (Crime Scene- directed by Umut Dag). She was also nominated for the New Faces Award. In addition to roles in television series and films, Gro Swantje has been treading the boards regularly since 2015; for example, at the Grillo Theater Essen. She has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Münchner Kammerspiele since 2018 and was presented with the Young Actor of the Year Award in 2019 after winning the critic’s vote in Theater heute.
