Film meets theater – The Blickpunkte series enables an exchange between theater and film. The selection of films by students of the Munich University of Television and Film (HFF) is always based on a current production from the Münchner Kammerspiele program. The audience is invited - together with the filmmakers and participants of the respective production - to discuss relevant topics on stage and in film. The Blickpunkte team leads through the evening.

Several times a season, authors from the Network of Munich Theatre Writers (NMT) offer open writing workshops at the Münchner Kammerspiele. The participants dedicate themselves to a production from the current programme, which they naturally also see together. Writing is about breaking down barriers. Does this work better together than alone? Collective writing is put to the test. Is it possible in this way to approach the production process of a theatre play through writing? What does the text do to the body, what does the body do to the text? Does it understand anything about poetry in the end?

More theater for school

We create space for creative encounters between theater and school. We look for connections between the realities of our audience’s lives and the content of our productions.

We are open to all ideas that combine teaching and theater and are eager to develop individual collaborations with you teachers. Give us a call or write to us.

Apply now: Remembrance work in school theatre!

School theatre show: 11 - 14 June 26, Therese-Giehse-Halle

The Münchner Kammerspiele and LAG Theater und Film an den bayerischen Schulen invite you to the School Theatre Showing, theme: WIR WIR WURDEN WER WIR SIND

How did we become who we are? What stories are told in our families, in books and films about what has passed? The ‘zero hour’ was yesterday - what is today and how should it be tomorrow? Go on a search for clues, collect stories, write them down and turn them into your theatre for the future.

School theatre groups that bring remembrance work to the stage can apply. On request, impulses and coaching are available for interested school theatre groups. A jury of theatre teachers, pupils and theatre makers will select 4 - 6 exemplary productions. Travel and transport costs, accommodation and meals are covered by the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs.
