Joint radio play listening in the presence of the radio play team
Radio play by Gesche Piening
On this evening, we invite you to the Habibi Kiosk for a joint radio play listening session with the radio play team from “Wie viele Tage hat das Leben?”. It portrays an overstimulated society, aggressive and needy at the same time. The radio play, directed by Gesche Piening and composed by Michael Emanuel Bauer, is about longing and not finding, about demarcation, devaluation, attack, blasphemy and self-defense and about how the struggle for individual self-assertion almost automatically puts closeness, generosity and solidarity at risk.
Gesche Piening, born 1978, is an actress, director and author. Her features and radio plays for BR have won awards, and she also received the Ödön von Horváth Prize (sponsorship award) in 2016 for her work to date. Her theater works include “Who do you want to be? A professional optimization guide” (2015), “Who do we want to have been?” (2017) and other radio plays including “Einsam stirbt öfter. A requiem.” (2020), “bin pleite ohne mich” (2021), “Tod? - Was soll das” (2022), “Wes Alltag Antwort gäb” (2023).
