Dîlan Z. Çapan

Dîlan Z. Çapan is a director, author and curator based in Berlin.
In the 23/24 season, she was artistic director of the Habibi Kiosk at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Since the 24/25 season, she has been responsible for the literature series “Literatur:Raum” at the Kammerspiele. In the 22/23 season, she co-directed an evening by and with actress Annette Paulmann. As assistant director, she assisted Pınar Karabulut and Jan-Christoph Gockel, among others.

In her literary work, she is particularly concerned with the search for language, the limits of what can be said and the power of language. Her directorial work often combines different genres, especially pop culture, grotesque and documentary elements. In 2019 she was a scholarship holder at the Theatertreffen Berlin and in 2022/23 in the “Drama Forum” young playwrights program of uniT Graz. She studied philosophy and theater studies at the Free University of Berlin and fashion design at the Faculty of Design at the University of Hanover.
