Kaleidoskop

The Berlin-based string ensemble Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop is known for its unusual projects and collaborations. Founded in 2006, the twelve string players have since expanded their musical practice in an authentic way in the field of tension between music and the performing arts. Kaleidoskop regularly collaborates with the Radialsystem in Berlin, and institutions such as Kampnagel (Hamburg), deSingel (Antwerp) and Concertgebouw Bruges are recurring partner institutions. In recent years, collaborations have been established with artists such as Isabel Lewis, Susanne Kennedy, Laurent Chétouane, Pol Pi Alix, Ariel Efraim Ashbel, Black Cracker, Lee Ranaldo and Peaches. With its projects, the ensemble is a regular guest at festivals such as the Ruhrtriennale (DE), the Wiener Festwochen (AT), the Holland Festival (NL), Romaeuropa (IT), Montpellier Danse (FR), the Sydney Festival (AUS), the Tongyeong International Music Festival (Korea) and the International Music Festival of the Netherlands.
