Theater Performance and Concert: An Encounter of North and South

A concert and a conversation, Kiinalik: These Sharp Tools is the meeting place of two people, and the North and South of Canada. Inuk artist Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory and queer theatre-maker Evalyn Parry met on an Arctic expedition from Iqaluit to Greenland. Interacting with each other and the audience, they share their perspectives on Canadian history, prejudices and traditions. The award-winning and internationally touring work was produced by Toronto’s first queer theater, founded in 1979 with the hopeful name “Buddies in Bad Times”.
