This meeting is about the current MK: production “Nora”. We will look through text material, explore the thematic focus and the aesthetic features. And then we will play, rehearse, experiment and present. We then attend the performance together.

About the production “Nora”:

Nora has made it. She only has to pay the last installment of the loan she took out on a pretext without her husband Torvald’s knowledge in order to finance a vital time-out. Shortly before the finish line, 72 hours before Christmas, Nora finds herself in distress and all her assumptions about their relationship are put to the test. She is soon faced with drastic life decisions. Ibsen’s theatrical thriller has repeatedly inspired great artists such as Elfriede Jelinek and Rainer Werner Fassbinder to tackle the subject. With Sivan Ben Yishai, Gerhild Steinbuch and Ivna Žic, three important contemporary playwrights now intervene in the play and question the icon Nora anew for our time.
