Sascha Malina Hoffmann

Sascha Malina Hoffmann grew up in the Ruhr area and gained her first professional stage experience in various projects at the (Junges) Schauspielhaus Bochum, as well as in independent dance theatre productions in Herne, Düsseldorf and Cologne, especially in the areas of performance and dance theatre.  After studying social sciences at the Ruhr University Bochum and the Universidad de Complutense (Madrid), they are currently in their third year of directing at the Otto Falkenberg School in Munich. In 2020-2021, Sascha Malina also worked as a permanent assistant director at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In terms of content, Sascha has repeatedly dealt with the topic of the city in questions of visibility and safety for different bodies and stories in recent years. As well as with the topic of violence and how it inscribes itself in places, languages and bodies. They are supported by a Richard Stury Foundation Fellowship.
