Alina Sokhna M‘Baye

Alina Sokhna M’Baye is a German-Senegalese actress from Berlin. She recently graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts, where she began studying acting in 2020. She gained her first theatre experience as a dancer in the young ensemble of Berlin’s Friedrichstadtpalast, to which she belonged from 2003 to 2012. While still a student, Alina was already involved in various productions. In April 2021, she performed “Dreams in BLK Major” at the Berliner Festspiele Stückemarkt and won the Stückemarkt Commission of Work with her ensemble. In May 2022, she shot the pro-choice commercial “A FORGOTTEN EMERGENCY” for Doctors Without Borders, which was honoured with a Berlin Commercial Award. In October 2022, she also appeared in the GRIMME Award-nominated mini-series “Himmel und Erde” on ZDF Neo. From July 2022 to July 2023, she appeared on stage at the Freiburg and Bern theatres in the play “IDENTITTI” by Jessica Glause. “WORD ON WIRECARD” will be Alina’s debut at the Münchner Kammerspiele.
