Dîlan Z. Çapan

Dîlan Z. Çapan grew up in Hanover and made Berlin her home many years ago. Since June 2023 she has been deputy artistic director of the Habibi Kiosk and was previously a permanent assistant director at the Münchner Kammerspiele for the 22/23 season (with Pınar Karabulut, Jan-Christoph Gockel, among others). She studied theater studies and philosophy at the Freie Universität Berlin and fashion design at the Faculty of Design at the HS Hannover.

Dîlan Çapan writes poetry and is a member of the Drama Forum of uniT Graz, where she is producing her first play. She directs music videos and soon also theater. For the 23/24 season, she is co-directing an evening by and with actress Annette Paulmann. In 2019, she was a fellow of the Theatertreffen-Blog at the Theatertreffen Berlin and part of the Ayşe X Staatstheater - a performative fictional theater foundation as a possible model of a theater of the future.

In her work, she is particularly concerned with speechlessness and the power of language.
