A man at the crossroads. An artist whose work between Africa and Europe due to the pandemic is radically questioned: In the solo piece “Fitry” the choreographer Serge Aimé Coulibaly reflects on his current situation as well as on his political and social commitment. This artist from Burkina Faso, who worked as a dancer for, among others, Alain Platel and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and who made a name for himself internationally as the choreographer of the works “Fadjiri,” “Kalkuta Republik,” “Nuit Blanche à Ouagadougou,” “Kirina,” and “Wakatt,” continues here his research on the lonely male. What reasons does he have to stand on the stage? What attitude towards humankind does he want to assume, or should assume? This time Coulibaly doesn’t deal with this reflection using his own body, but rather he directs the dancer Jean Robert Koudogbo Kiki in a suspenseful solo piece.
