Mehmet Sözer

Mehmet Sözer was born in Vienna, studied at the HfS Ernst Busch in Berlin from 2010 to 2014 and was an ensemble member at the Munich Volkstheater from 2014 to 2018. He has worked with Nicolas Charaux, Felix Hafner, Christian Stückl, Jessica Glause, Corinne Meier and Lucia Bihler, among others. Most recently with Milena Michalek at Kosmos Theater in Vienna for the play development ‘Schwieriges Thema’, which earned an invitation to the Autorentheatertage Berlin. In 2016, his essay ‘What can be done? - Plädoyer gegen die Vereinzelung’ was published in Theater der Zeit, and in 2018 he gave a speech at the founding of ensemble-netzwerk. With Like Lovers Do Sözer works for the first time at the Kammerspiele.
