Florian Lösche

Born in Munich, Germany in 1981, after completing school Florian Lösche worked for set designer Erwin Klocker and built models and sets for various private theatres in Munich. In 2003, he began studying stage design under Ezio Toffolutti at the Academy of Fine Arts (AfBK) in Munich; in 2005, he transferred to Raimund Bauer’s class at the University of Fine Arts (HFBK) in Hamburg. While still studying, he designed stage sets for the Staatstheater Kassel, the Kampnagel in Hamburg, the Deutsches Theater Berlin and the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. He has designed sets for various productions by Jette Steckel and Antú Romero Nunes, including at the Deutsches Theater and Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, the Schauspielhaus Zurich, the Burgtheater in Vienna and also the Hamburg and Bavarian state operas. His long-standing collaboration with Jette Steckel is now bringing him to the Münchner Kammerspiele for the first time.
