“I tremble inside when I have to make decisions.”
Johanna Kappauf was born in Munich in 1999. She works in the weaving workshop at SWW Munich and performs with the theatre group Die Blindgänger (The Duds). In 2019 and 2020, she participated in inclusion workshops at the Otto Falckenberg School and she is a guest performer at the Münchner Kammerspiele in the plays Heidi Weeps and He Who Hopes Dies Singing. From the 2022/23 season, she will be a permanent member of the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble while continuing to weave part-time at SWW Munich.
She is radically honest. She is both touchable and touching.
She subverts expectations with humour, tenderness and clarity.
She expands and explodes the places society assigns to her as a person with disabilities: through her poetry, her art and her empathy.
