Jan Bosse

Jan Bosse was born in Stuttgart in 1969. He first studied theatre studies, German language and literature and art history at the University of Erlangen, then drama directing at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst “Ernst Busch” in Berlin. His debut as a director was the world premiere of Marius von Mayenburg’s “Feuergesicht” in 1998 at the Münchner Kammerspiele. From 2000 to 2005 Jan Bosse was in-house director at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. He works regularly at the Schauspielhaus Zurich, the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, Schauspiel Köln, Vienna’s Burgtheater and Schauspiel Frankfurt. With the world premiere of Gabriele Tergit’s “Effingers”, Jan Bosse returns to the Münchner Kammerspiele, where he will direct regularly - together with his team, which is beautifully the same as 22 years ago - stage: Stéphane Laimé, costumes: Kathrin Plath, music: Arno Kraehahn.
